Octopus Car Wash Crash

A malfunctioning vehicle destroys a wall at a Madison car wash.
An employee at Octopus Car Wash on University Avenue was moving a Jeep Grand Cherokee Friday evening; when he turned the vehicle on the engine started revving and he couldn't stop it. To avoid hitting pedestrians and traffic the employee drove the vehicle into the car wash's wall.
No one was injured in the crash and no other vehicles were damaged.
Car Wash owner Jeff Jurkens says he has heard of similar problems in the car wash industry with Jeep Cherokee vehicles before.
Despite the mayhem, the Octopus car wash will be open for business as usual on Saturday.
