Citizens are speaking out about adult entertainment within their town's limits.

Ever since Hot Rods opened its doors in the unincorporated area of Pine Bluff, there has been controversy. Monday night residents gathered to voice their opinion about the club.

Most people at the town hall meeting are not in favor of adult entertainment in their backyards. John Keenan, a concerned resident, says "Everybody has the right to do what they want to do, but I just don't think this is the place for it. I think it belongs in another environment outside of this rural community environment." Meanwhile, Maryanne Croft is concerned about what kind of message this sends to our children.

Hot Rods' owner, Jerry Wood, counters critics by saying the club is discrete, and you only know there is adult entertainment if you enter a second room inside the building.

More than a week ago the Town Board refused to give Hot Rods the license they need to operate, but the owner says he is appealing that decision. The club can stay open until Dane County Circuit Court reviews the case.
