Fitchburg police say one man is recovering from being shot after a fight breaks out at an after bar party in Fitchburg. A person of interest is being questioned.
Fitchburg police tell us they were called to an after bar party at a house on the 28–hundred block of South Syene Road about 4:30 Friday morning. Police say about 40 people had shown up at the house from a number of bars after they closed.
“The partygoers came here afterwards and there was an argument between two individuals”, says Fitchburg Police Lt. Todd Stetzer. “The argument resulted in numerous shots being fired and one subject being struck several times.”
Police say there may have been more than one person firing shots.
They tell us they don't have any suspects in custody yet, but they are talking to a 25 year old Madison man they call a “person of interest”.
