UW Football Team Helps Habitat for Humanity

Video will be available shortly.

The UW football team got a good workout Saturday, but they weren't sweating it out on the field. They were helping out Habitat for Humanity.

The football team's 10th annual community service day focuses the energy of the entire 95 member squad on making a difference in Madison.

Habitat for Humanity says it's great to have the football team sharing their strength.

Meanwhile, the UW Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter has completed it's 4th habitat house and raises $30,000 a year.

"It's there fourth house that they've built. They raise about thirty thousand dollars each year and provide all of the labor so it's nice to have the UW football team out here to help bless this house and to help be a part of that so their primarily working on landscaping on that house today," says Megan Kenney.

The team did a variety of different jobs, including landscaping, building, and framing.
