Brooklyn Elementary School in the Village of Brooklyn is no longer under lockdown at this hour. The school was under lockdown around noon on Friday. The Village of Brooklyn is at the Dane-Green County line.

Someone reported the *sound* of gunfire NEAR the school, so it was placed under lockdown as a precaution only. There has been NO confirmation of a shooting.

The Superintendent confirms the school is clear and classes are returning to normal.

Brooklyn Elementary School is a public school in the Oregon School District.
