The state Commerce Department is adopting new premium gas inspection standards.
The changes were fueled by concerns that gas pump operators may be scamming car drivers by putting regular gas into premium pumps.
The changes require inspectors to check all premium and regular grades during retail inspections.
The state commerce department is also launching a so-called gas sampling "blitz" later this year.
