Rock County has a New Coroner
Tuesday, Governor Doyle appointed Terry Maybee to the position of Rock County coroner. Maybee was a Janesville firefighter for 31 years, before retiring in 1997. He's also served on several other boards and commissions within Rock County.
Maybee will serve through January 2007. He takes over the term vacated by Karen Gilbertson.
Gilbertson resigned in early April after pleading no contest to misconduct in office. Authorities say she stole prescription drugs from death scenes.
