Anonymous, considering you post under anomitity, I would let you run. You're right, I do not know all the circumstances surrounding this particular incident. However, i do know there are many a teen out there, who have no respect for anyone and when they do not get there way, they act like this, just like a 3 year old having a tantrum over being told no. You are obviously not a parent, so you have no idea or experience in the subject and should not speak unless you've parented and have Counseled other teens like I have.

to b from Oregon-If you were my mother I would run! You don't know the story and what she did was not done lightly. She needs understanding and the family needs counseling. This may have been her only way to get attention drawn to some of the problems in the home. When I was a teen there were places like Briar Patch where we could go. Do we have anything like that now?

Katelyn, SHAME ON YOU!! Being a mom, I would be very angry with my kids, and they would be tethered to me after a stunt like that! This is awful girl! You need a good grounding for not touching base with your family when you knew they were worried and looking for you! You should have to pay for monies spent needlessly, when you could have picked up a phone! Some sort of repercussions need to occur here! To her parents, I'm sooooo Happy She is safe and sound! Thank Goodness for that!

Everyone can have disagreements now and then. But i thank God that the Teen was found safely. Maybe she and her Family should go and get Counseling, and go to church and talk with their Pastor.

I think every bit of info. is important. I do not think alot of youth,or people have any idea of the "stranger Danger" factor out there..more information, news, education the better !

C, You make it sound as if people should not have been concerned! According to this report, the girl is 14yrs old and had not been seen for 48hrs. I am not one of those overprotective moms(well, don't ask my kids)but this was definitely a scary situation for all the parents involved. If the "real" Dad knew anything he should have come forward. As far as the Amber Alert goes, I never heard one for this girl. This is the only place I seen or heard anything anywhere else.

To C from Madison: You apparently don't have children of your own. Thank goodness she is reuinited with her father and alright! To say her father panicker, you are totally insensitive. Life is tough for kids in a split family situation.

Relax everyone. She had an argument with her stepmother, and her real father panicked. She was not in any danger, just didnt have the common sense to call her parents and tell them she was ok after running off.
