Wisconsin's Attorney General's office is filing suit against a national electronics giant.

Best Buy is being sued for violating a number of state consumer protection laws.

Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager filed the civil action suit Tuesday, after receiving more than 200 complaints from Best Buy customers.

The suit claims Best Buy mislead consumers about rebates, exchange policies, magazine subscriptions, gift cards, and more.

The state is asking Best Buy to stop the alleged deceptive practices, and pay fines and penalties.

A Best Buy spokesperson tells NBC 15 the company "intends to vigorously defend the lawsuit."

If you have additional complaints, you're asked to call Consumer Protection at 1–800–422–7128.
