Man Arrested in LA suspected of stabbing East High Student

Video will be available shortly.

Police say a man suspected of taking part in a violent gang fight could return to Madison next week. The fight happened nearly a month ago, but police caught up with the suspect this week, 2-thousand miles away.
"We pulled up and there was caution taped off and there was cops everywhere," Samantha Houck says.
That was the night of Saturday April 30th. A night when thousands partied ... and hundreds of police patrolled the Mifflin Street Block Party.
"I was actually down there with boyfriend," Houck says.
But Houck returned home to find police outside her apartment complex, investigating a gang-related fight.
"I was like I live here ... what's happening," Houck says.
Police believe this man, Hector Romero, is involved in the stabbing.
Romero fled Madison, but a tip caught up with him in Los Angeles.
"They were able to set up on house, confirm that he was there and then go and arrest him," Madison police officer Mike Hanson says.
A Los Angeles swat team arrested Romero at a relative's house in North Hollywood.
"The video shows several officers suited up and the tactics that were used ... what's important to keep in mind is that's because you want to over deploy resources to keep everyone safe," Hanson says.
A criminal complaint against Romero states that he was one of eight to ten men who got out of their cars, then began to attack two young men.
An East High School student suffered a stab wound to the chest that punctured a lung. Another young man was beaten with a bat.
"I could see rocks and glass everywhere just one of these big rocks all over the place," Houck says of the scene.
Houck says she has noticed signs of gang activity.
"If you look around, there's tagging all over the place. We've got to watch out for our cars ... I've had someone break into my boyfriend's car."
Houck has plans to move ...
Meantime, police expect to move Romero back to Madison to face justice. Romero faces two felony counts.
Police are still seeking others involved.
