The sweet sound of the tee shot gets even sweeter in the month of June at Beloit's Krueger-Haskell Golf Course. That's because kids 17 or younger can golf for free the entire month of June, if they're with a paying adult.
That's thanks to a partnership between Wisconsin's Department of Tourism and the city of Beloit.
The University of Wisconsin women's golf coach says it's great for kids, and great for the sport. "You're launching a tremendous program (Wednesday). The opportunity to play free for one entire month is really unheard of. Develop a passion for the game, create excitement for the game, and with that comes lifelong players and lifelong enjoyment," says coach Todd Oehrlein.
There's no limit on how many times you can play the course, but adults are limited to bringing two children per round, under the free offer.
