One man is dead and two others are seriously injured in a powerboat accident on Lake Butte des Morts Monday night.
Winnebago County sheriff's officials say a 34-foot boat ran
aground on the north shore of the lake shortly before midnight.
All three men were thrown out of the boat. Thirty-eight-year-old Alan Richards of Holland, Michigan died at the scene.
A 38-year-old Fremont man and a 26-year-old Appleton area man
were injured.
Authorities say alcohol contributed to the accident.
