Third Coroner in as Many Months for Rock County
Rock County has a new coroner again.
Gov. Jim Doyle is giving the job to Jenifer Keach. Keach replaces Terry Maybee, who was on the job for only a week before resigning.
He replaced Karen Gilbertson, who resigned after pleading no contest to misconduct in public office.
Gilbertson was charged with taking prescription drugs from the scenes of death investigations.
Keach has been a registered nurse since 1994. She currently works at Riverview Surgery Center in Janesville and Beloit Hospital.
She will begin her new job as Coroner on June 10. Her term ends January 1, 2007.
