A priest accused of molesting a ten-year-old boy while serving as a Green Bay Catholic school counselor has been officially defrocked by the Vatican.
Green Bay Bishop David Zubik notified Donald Buzanowski of the
decision in person this week.
Buzanowksi is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a
child stemming from alleged incidents when he served as a counselor
at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in 1988. He also received
a 21-month sentence in Milwaukee's federal court in 2000 for
possessing child pornography.
Buzanowski has not served as a priest since 1989.
