Fire destroys a home in the Town of Dunn Wednesday night.
The house at 3359 Peterson Road was already in flames when McFarland firefighters got there.
"When we arrived here, the house was fully involved from the center of the house to the right hand side. There was quite a bit of fire coming out of the house already," says Gary Garman from the McFarland Fire Department.
Firefighters from more than a half dozen other fire departments came to help. They not only battled the fire, but the heat. EMS personnel set up a rehab area to keep an eye on the firefighters' health.
"It's pretty warm out here today, and we lose fluid real fast, so it's important to keep 'em hydrated and keep 'em checked out, and make sure they don't get injured themselves because of the heat and exhaustion," Garman says.
The damage is estimated at $350,000. There's no word on what caused the fire.
