Three people are dead after a fiery crash involving three semi–trucks and a car on Interstate 90 Friday afternoon. I–90 was closed in both directions near Rockford, Illinois.
Authorities say vehicles were backed up for miles, across the state line and into Wisconsin.
The Winnebago County, Illinois, coroner says the three people killed were burned beyond recognition, and their identities probably won't be determined until Saturday.
Police hope to get at least part of I–90 sometime early Friday evening.
