Circus Parade Ready to Roll

Video will be available shortly.

By noon Saturday, thousands of people will line the streets of Baraboo for the Great Circus Parade.

But before that can happen, hundreds of unpaid volunteers have to make sure everything is in big top shape.

Things got started at 7 a.m. Friday when nearly 350 horses and their drivers practiced pulling the antique circus wagons.

There's also volunteers taking care of costumes, security, and lining up the wagons for tomorrow.
The days might be long and the work hard, but two long time helpers say they don't mind a bit.

"It's a privilege. It's something we're all so excited, we've made so many good friends and just to be a part of this," says 20 year volunteer Renee Zastrow.

Director of practice runs John Loyd agrees. "It's a great experience. I look foreword to it all year long. It's one of those things that I wouldn't miss it."

The 39th Edition of the Great Circus Parade starts at noon Saturday in Baraboo.
