Authorities are searching the Wisconsin River in Marathon County for a man who disappeared after his truck slipped int the ditch during a thunderstorm.
Jeffrey Stencil called his wife after his car slipped off Interstate 39 in Rib Mountain late Saturday night. That's the last time anyone heard from the 44-year-old Mosinee man.
Marathon County sheriff's deputies say Stencil's truck was not
heavily damaged and there's no sign he was hurt.
Stencil's wife Tammy went to help him after his truck slid off
the interstate, but couldn't find him. His truck left the road
about 200 yards north of the Wisconsin River bridge.
