The father of a Wisconsin soldier killed in Iraq last month says he still hasn't received an official report on how his son died.
Ray Maida of Madison is a Vietnam vet who buried his
22-year-old son ten days ago.
Maida says he's gotten a form letter from the president, a
condolence call from the governor and still hasn't heard anything
from the officer in charge of his son's unit.
Maida is critical of the military's stop loss program that kept
his son Mark in Iraq six months after he had been scheduled for
discharge.
He says the program allows the Army to recycle soldiers into
combat, even after their enlistment contracts have ended.
