A 17-year-old boy who was hit in the head with an anchor while boating on Lake Mendota died Monday.
The Madison East High School student was is a boat with three
other teens at Governor Nelson State Park last Thursday.
Investigators say Trevor Knight gunned the engine before the
anchor was pulled out of the water. The anchor flipped out of the
water and hit Knight in the back of the head.
Counseling is being offered today at Madison East where Knight
was a member of the prom court this spring. He was also a member of
the Tyrol Basin racing team.
