Jonathan Little didn't hear his calling...
"I went off to college to study landscape architecture, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison."
...until he changed his tune.

Little did he know at the time, but it would be the landscape of local radio in which Jonathan Little would continue to carve his niche for the next four decades beginning as the voice of the UW's Lakeshore Halls Association in 1962.
"We sent the signal over the water pipes, and over the telephone lines and you could only hear the station if you lived in the dormitories down at the lakeshore area."

The self-described "Music Missionary" would follow a long and winding road through Madison's music scene, including WISM...
"I back-announced The Stones "Get Off My Cloud," on "WISM 1480," and I got the gig."

Which was followed by stints at Z104, Triple M, and WOLX, which leads the local living legend to his latest labor "Lunch With Little" on The Lake.
"I really enjoy the opportunity now on 93.1 The Lake to be back on the air."

Since his April 19th return to radio, Little says his program is gaining popularity with an audience which has gained some life-experience.

"The listener said, 'Is this Jonathan Little?' and I said, 'Yes.' She said, 'You must be really old.' And I said, 'Why do you say it that way?' 'Well, I was 14 years old the first time I heard you on the radio,' and I said, 'You must be really old, too!'

You can catch "Lunch with Little" weekdays on 93.1 "The Lake."
