Middleton Teen Gets 66 Year Sentence
A Middleton man who police say beat a 55 year old woman after he broke into her house in December is committed to a mental health institution.
17-year-old Michael Rickey pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease to five felony charges, including attempted homicide, attempted sexual assault, burglary and battery, in May.
Monday, a Dane County judge committed him to the Department of Health and Family Services for up to 66 years. Rickey will periodically have the right to petition for conditional release.
