A Baraboo man pleaded no contest to fatally shooting a woman and attacking a man in a three-countycrime spree last fall.

A Dane County judge found Bennie Frier guilty of killing
Jennifer Hitchcock, a 22-year-old woman kidnapped from Nebraska
last October.

Frier and his uncle, Maurice Mason, are accused of holding
Hitchcock hostage for several days while they committed other

They allegedly attacked David Kline of rural Mauston, who was
later found bound and gagged in an old granary in Juneau County,
then headed to Baraboo, where Mason allegedly killed a cab driver.

Prosecutors say the men then drove to Middleton where Frier shot
and killed Hitchcock after both men had sex with her. The charges
against Frier in Juneau County were consolidated with the Dane
