A three–alarm fire is under control in Reedsburg, but a building is a complete loss.
The blaze broke out around 4 p.m. Tuesday in a storage warehouse for Grede Foundries.
Firefighters had the fire under control within three hours. They spent the rest of the night looking for hotspots, while knocking the building down.
While nothing may be left of the warehouse, officials say it would have been gone soon anyway. "This particular structure was an older structure. They'd anticipated demolishing it in the not so distant future. Clearly this is an unfortunate event, but no one has been hurt, and that's the most important factor," says Reedsburg City Administrator Lori Anadle.
There's no word on the cause of the fire, or the total cost of damages.
