Gov. Doyle was not taking part in illegal bargaining to reach a deal on the state's minimum wage. Prosecutors have dismissed those allegations today.
Madison Alder, Austin King accused Doyle and Republican lawmakers of illegally trading support for two unrelated measures, a felony known as log–rolling.
King said Doyle agreed to sign a law to ban local minimum wage ordinance in exchange for Republicans dropping their resistance to the administrative rules for increasing the wage.
Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard says negotiations over the minimum wage happened in public and didn't constitute log–rolling.
