Once the budget gets through the assembly again it heads to the governor's desk.
We caught up with Governor Jim Doyle Friday afternoon to get his opinion on what's taking place under the capitol dome.
"The Senate again let taxpayers and school children of this state down," Doyle told reporters during a Friday afternoon news conference.
While the Assembly works and Doyle ponders, the state will continue to operate under its old budget.
