A Madison man is heading out with the Red Cross to help those left homeless by Hurricane Dennis.
This will mark the fifth time Jack Koppel has provided assistance to hurricane victims. He specializes in helping people secure food, shelter, and clean up supplies.
Koppel says the problems really mount up the longer the storms last. "It doesn't get easier. The problems compound as the storms continue to come in and you have the repeated flooding. Eventually you lose the portable water supply and with the power out the sewage systems aren't functioning," he says.
Koppel will be helping out in Arkansas.
He was in Florida last year for three of the four hurricanes, so he knows what he'll be facing.
