Governor Jim Doyle wants you to join in the fight to stop those pesky calls.
The governor says there is a petition working through the nation's capital that would take away the state's privilege to regulate interstate telemarketing. The proposal would effectively override Wisconsin's No Call List.
To protest the proposal, call Wisconsin's Department of Consumer Protection at 1-800-422-7128, Or log onto the department's web site at www.datcp.state.wi.us.
