A Rock County judge says construction on a new Wal-Mart and Sam's Supercenter in north Janesville can go on as planned.
Neighbors of the planned development had filed for an injunction against the development and they also asked that a conditional use permit needed to start building be overturned. On Tuesday, Judge James Welker heard their arguments and on Wednesday he decided against them.
An attorney for Wal-Mart said he expects the decision will be appealed.
Opponents of the development say the development would increase traffic in the area and devalue property.
