Police say a 24-year-old man shot on Thursday is in stable condition at a local hospital. The shooting happened around 12:30 in the morning on the 500 block of South Park Street at the Rustic Tavern.
Police are asking for your help in finding the gunman in the shooting behind the Rustic Tavern. They say people at the scene drove the victim to the hospital. Police also say those involved know each other.
Officers have responded to four separate shootings in one week but do not believe there's a threat to the community. Mike Hanson from the Madison Police Department says, "With people in some sort of conflict and we have weapons, so they're using these weapons as part of their anger issues that they're having with people that they're dealing with, that's what we're seeing with these shootings.
Police describe the Thursday suspect as a black man in his early 20's, last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans. He is bald with a goatee and about 5'9"
