Authorities say a medical condition is likely to blame for a fatal crash on the interstate Thursday night.
The crash happened just west of Highway N on I 90/39 around seven o'clock.
The State Patrol says the driver likely suffered a fatal medical condition causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
"Hit the crossover, launched the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest and luckily due to that embankment it didn't enter the other side of the roadway," says State Trooper Mark Samborski.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was taken to UW–Hospital with unknown injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
