A swimming trip to a Portage lake ends with the death of a 19–year old Westfield man.
He was swimming with his girlfriend and her daughter, when he disappeared at Silver Lake Beach in Portage last night.
The Columbia County dive team found his body about an hour later.
Police aren't releasing the man's name until they notify his family.
