There's an event going on on State Street where clothes are optional.
At the Orpheum Theater a so–called Underwear Party will be held to celebrate Madison's Gay Pride. But the guest list is extensive, from college students and local residents to Ru–Paul.
The idea behind the party is to bring the community together and allow different people from different backgrounds to meet one another.
"I mean, I had people up to me in the streets saying I never met a gay person," says party organizer Edward Edney. "Now, you know, I met a gay person, I am friends with a gay person, a black person, you know, someone different from me, as a result of going to your underwear party."
A portion of the ticket sales will go to Outreach, Inc, which is Madison's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center.
