MPD Search for Armed Robbery Suspects
Madison Police are looking for the man they say is responsible for a robbery and beating on Winnebago Street Friday night.
27-year-old Calvin Henderson is wanted for questioning. Authorities say he beat another man on the head with a large-caliber, semi-automatic pistol, before stealing cash and a cellular phone.
The victim was treated and released from a local hospital, after suffering several cuts and bruises.
Madison Police are also looking for two men they say are responsible for mugging two UW coeds on East Gilman Street early Saturday morning.
The women reportedly told police they were grabbed from behind, punched in the face, and thrown to the ground, before their purses were stolen. The victims were unable to get descriptions of the suspects.
Authorities tell NBC 15 they are trying to determine whether this case is connected to similar incidents in the area.
