One state lawmaker is pushing to ban all UW schools from giving administrators paid leave and back-up jobs when they resign.
Representative Rob Kreibich of Eau Claire says the paid leaves are inappropriate because state funding is tight and the university system is complaining of being short changed by the state government.
Recently, UW-Madison came under fire for continuing to pay Paul Barrows his salary during a seven month paid leave after he stepped down as vice chancellor.
Other similar reports have surfaced out of UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay.
