The pilot who died in a Fond du Lac County plane crash is from Southwest Wisconsin.
67-year-old Richard James of Fennimore was piloting his vintage World War Two fighter plane when it crashed yesterday afternoon about 20 miles south of Oshkosh. James was on his way to perform in the EAA Airventure show.
