They should not have done it. That's what Governor Jim Doyle said about his staff after they delivered a bag of used hypodermic needles to Assembly Speaker John Gard.
A Fish Creek woman gave the needles to Doyle's staff to protest Guard's stance on a human cloning bill. Doyle's staff passed on the needles by taking them to Gard's office. The Governor says he was not aware that the needles were actually delivered, but he adds there's no need for his staff to apologize to Gard.
