They're partying until the cows come home to help the 32nd Military Police company out of Madison and Milwaukee.
McFarland's Park Ponderosa serves as the scene as party-goers enjoy live music, contests, and cocktails. Saturday's event marks a celebration of the effort put forth by military police along with the sacrifices made by their families which will receive a portion of the proceeds from tonight's benefit.
Lori Prieur, a fundraising chairperson, says, "the money we raise tonight and for all of our fundraisers is for the family readiness group and its basically to keep the family members of the soldiers informed on what's happening with their soldiers when they're deployed, when they're on missions."
Prieur says the 32nd M.P. served in Baghdad for about 15 months and has been home for almost a year now.
