A new list is giving a picture of the world through the eyes of the class of 2009.
Beloit College releases its annual Mindset List. The list aims to give college faculty some understanding of how their students view the world before classes start.
For this year's freshmen, Starbucks has always been around the corner, "America's Funniest Home Videos" has always been on TV, and a man named George Bush has been president more than half their lives.
The list consists of 75 items... it goes to show that times are a changing.
"These become good conversation points for starting the seminars that are an important part of the opening of our academic year," says Ron Nief of Beloit College.
The list was started about seven years ago. Inspiration comes from research, and students asking questions while in classes.
