Local support and emergency management offficials continue to move forward as they battle the aftermath of the Stoughton area tornado.
Thursday, officials met to discuss their assessment of the area and where to proceed. Emergency management officials say volunteers will be needed through this weekend to help both homeowners and farmers clean up debris.
And the township has four sites that have been approved for a controlled brush burn.
The Stoughton Fire Department start within the next few days and last for several more.
"The next step will be to continue the debris and cleanup not only in our residential areas, but in our agricultural areas so we'll be looking at that very closely," says Kathy Krusiec of Dane County Emergency Management.
The township has also set up a tornado relief fund. If you would like to send a monetary donation that will be dispersed to people with unmet needs, you can make it out to the Stoughton Area Tornado Relief Fund, and send it to any bank in the Stoughton area.
