The Salvation Army in Dane County is heading down with trucks full of supplies.
A team of six people will drive to Texas carrying enough food and water for 500 people.
The items being sent are from local businesses and individuals, as well as from the Salvation Army's own reserves.
Ruth Ann Schoer, Development Director for Salvation Army of Dane Co. says, "Some of the product we have is from our tornado in Stoughton. And addition to other snacks we have on hand, we're giving them everything we've got to send down. And we'll replenish later."
The Salvation Army will replenish supplies every two weeks by sending a new team down.
