Campaign to Support Our Troops

Some Wisconsin residents say our troops must finish their mission overseas.

"It's more important right now because of the negativity that we're hearing about, and so I believe it is our responsibility to step up and say that this is what we believe in," says Beth and Jim Karlson.

Beth and Jim Karlson lost their son, Staff Sergeant Warren Hansen, in Iraq back in November of 2003. Sunday, they joined Army National Guard Colonel Todd Nehls at the Allen Centennial Gardens on the UW campus to talk about the success of the war.

Nehls, who is also the Dodge County sheriff, returned last month from a tour of duty overseas.

They are part of a grassroots organization called Families United for our Troops and Their Mission.
