More than 4 years after an E-coli outbreak, the stock pavilion at the U.W. is open once again.
The outbreak happened in October of 2001 at a pancake breakfast and caused dozens of people to fall ill. To make sure the pavilion was a safe dining environment, the university took steps to prevent a recurrence including replacing the sawdust floor.
The pavilion is where Robert Kennedy, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Harry Truman once delivered speeches.
