Downtown Madison Robberies

Local police need your help in finding three men believed to be involved in two separate robberies in downtown Madison.

The first happened at about 4:15 Monday morning at the Badger Bus Depot on South Bedford Street. Police say the victim, who is a 21-year-old Mississippi resident, had just arrived on a bus when he was approached by two men. One pointed a gun at him, and demanded money. Both men then fled on foot.

One of the robbers is described as a white male, about 30-years-old, 5'11", about 200 pounds with short, dark hair.

The second man is described at a white male, about 30 years old, 5'5" with a stocky build, and short light brown hair.

The second robbery happened a short time later at about 4:45 a.m. on the 200 block of West Gilman Street. Police say a man approached another man on the street, pulled out a gun, and demanded his wallet. The robber then ran from the scene.

The robber is described as a black man, 30 to 35 years old, 6'3", and 170 pounds. He had a goatee and a moustache.
