Grassroots groups are sprouting up all over Wisconsin waiting to help incoming evacuees.
Tuesday night, members of High Point Church met to coordinate their plans. This is the groups' second meeting.
They would like to house hurricane victims. But these people, along with two–thousand Red Cross volunteers in Wisconsin, are still waiting for evacuees to arrive.
"Many of them are just hearing let us get a little more organized so we can make best use of what your gifts and talents are," says Bill Mugford, senior pastor at High Point Church.
Across Wisconsin, there are other offers to house displaced families.
Many are going to http://www.hurricanehousing.org/ to post available rooms. The website provides a place for evacuees to e–mail for more information.
