A legal battle in Janesville seems to be over and the city will get their new Wal-Mart Superstore and Sam's Club.
A Janesville attorney representing Wal-Mart says he has been told the neighbors who originally opposed the store will not be appealing the development any longer. The neighbors had previously challenged city planning commission and zoning board decisions to allow the 50 acre development on the city's north side near highway 26. Residents were concerned about the increase in traffic that would come along with the big box superstore.
