Despite the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Wisconsin's economic forecast is looking up.
The state department of revenue predicts continued improvements to living standards and good news for businesses. Income growth in the state is expected to increase by nearly six percent on average for the next five years.
These predictions come as the total revenue tax collections for the state's fiscal year ending in June totaled more than $11 billion. That's an increase of more than six percent from the previous fiscal year.
