WOW some people here are amazing! NOT!!! Where can some of you come off and say the child might not have been harmed or that now days we cant afford children let alone ourselves! That still does not give ANYONE the right to put a baby in a damn duffle bag to die! This is sick and wrong! Thats why we have the safe haven laws and stuff like that! I am a young mother of two and WOULD NEVER imagine in MY LIFE to do something like this! Even if the baby was not harmed and it past away from whatever he/she should have got a proper funeral! Im sure they caould have raised enough money to help pay for it!! Every child has a purpose on this world and should get treated like everyone else! Obviously it had to of been the parents if there is no missing children fitting the discription. Knowing the police more that likely looked into that. Cause if my baby came up missing I WOULD BE CALLING the police! I hope they find out who ever did this and charge them the max!!!! BABY REST IN PEACE!!

Anonymous, what are you talking about? You made fun of the $1000 award, saying that's only what a baby's life is worth. Maybe that's all there was in the budget? Maybe that's all that could be raised in such a short amount of time? Instead of being negative, I thought sure you would have put some of your own funds up for the reward.

JB, people would use the dumb excuse that birth control is too expensive.

There are countless missing kids all over this country. Just because there are no small ones missing from your area doesn't mean a thing. This child could have been from anywhere in the world... Why assume the parents are the responsible party? And it it's bones rather than a body, it may not even be recent. Dumping a body along the side of the road - that is cause for suspicion. Young parents might panic, but to put the body in a car and drive it out to dump somehwere? i don't see that. It's always upsetting when a child dies... it's so wrong.

RT- If people cannot afford children in todays economy....here is a novel idea DON'T HAVE THEM!!! Use birth control!

To Anonymous @10:05 Face it, if jumping to conclusions were an Olympic sport, most people nowadays would be wearing gold medals ! And no one seems to want a life .

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 8, 2008 at 10:05 AM
lol most of u are funny. get a life and stop jumping to conclusions.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 8, 2008 at 09:49 AM
$1000.00 is what a baby is worth in getting information leading to who did this?

Posted by: Jennifer Location: Lake Delton on Jun 12, 2008 at 11:17 PM
They might as well have harmed that child. They probably didnt even know the little baby was dead, maybe just unconscious. Either way what they did was disgraceful, and disrespectful and overall just sick. If the baby did die from sids take the baby to a hospital to find out. If that was the case they wouldnt have been found responsible. Just leaving the baby on the side of the road kinda shows that they have something more serious to hide. Hopefully they get what is coming to them and if he/she/ they die maybe someone should leave their a$$ by the side of the road in a duffle bag.

Sandy-I'm not saying by any means that leaving the body was in any way right-but my point was how can everyone be jumping to the conclusion that someone purposely hurt this child when nothing listed is implying that?! I think it is God awful to leave a child in a bag like this but again my point is that there is no proof released yet that it was murder or any harm was inflicted upon this child.

To C and RT : Granted we do not yet know what the facts are, and granted that the economy sucks, and that people can get frightened. But how on God's Green Earth can anyone find excuses for leaving the body of an infant by the side of the road ?

Posted by: Jamie Location: Madison on Jun 8, 2008 at 04:26 PM
Why is it everytime something like this comes up people say "when these people are found I hope they are punished". Ofcourse they are going to be punished!! Why do you hope they will be punished when they will be punished. That is what our legal system is for, and Im sure homicide fits under the scope of what the legal system enforces. It is really irritating to hear that over and over!! That all.

Posted by: RT on Jun 8, 2008 at 03:24 PM
C- I agree with you, people jump to conclusions when the evidence isn't even there. People my God wait until more comes out. I agree it is a terrible thing that has happened to such a young life but we do not know the facts. How many people out there can even feed themselves let only kids right now with our economy? If the people who run this country do not wake up and realize the crime rate is going to sky rocket and there are going to be more murders due to lack of money and increase in everything. It is not right when our President is getting 3 meals plus a day served to him and is living high on the hog while everyone suffers. Wake up people this world is circling the drain quick and people are doing desperate terrible things to survive.

I'm just wondering where everyone is reading that this child/infant was purposely killed or murdered or even harmed for that matter? It looks to me like they have little to no details-chances are good it was intentional but it still doesn't say that for sure...maybe everyone needs to quit assuming that someone did this on purpose-what if the child died from say SIDS, the parent(s) got scared or couldn't afford a proper funeral and did this instead, still it wasn't right to do but that doesn't mean they murdered their child...maybe we should all wait for more details to surface

Posted by: P.J. on Jun 7, 2008 at 11:02 PM
Angel I agree ,but they should add any harm to a child, or any type of abuse (physical, mental, sexual, psychological)anything. Then make sure the bas*#@%s get the worst prison time possible, because death would make it to easy for them.

Posted by: Jessica Location: Madison on Jun 7, 2008 at 07:02 PM
This is disgusting. What is WRONG with people?

Posted by: chris Location: baraboo on Jun 7, 2008 at 05:01 PM
I am just sitting here wondering What is going on in this world that people could hurt innocent babies these days, if it wasn't bad enough that David Yates did this now we have this too?? Is it ever going to be safe for our kids and grandkids out there!

Posted by: angel Location: Madison on Jun 7, 2008 at 03:47 PM
seriously the person(s) responsible for this needs to be held to the fullest of the law. and all cases dealing with the death of infants/children need to hold these people responsible and let the law come down hard and make it known that this type of offense is not going to be tolerated.

Posted by: b Location: madison on Jun 6, 2008 at 04:43 PM
There is a missing person in Sauk County but it is not an infant. The kid from illinois is still missing. Sounds really demented that someone could do this. I hope they are worried that someone now knows what they did.

Posted by: T on Jun 6, 2008 at 04:31 PM
People who do things like this make me sick, I really hope the ones responsible are found and punished! If you do not want a baby there are plenty of other things to do. THere are many others who would love to be able to adopt a child. Such a terrible terrible thing!

Posted by: Jennifer Location: Lake Delton on Jun 6, 2008 at 04:17 PM
Hopefully the one(s) responsible for leaving a baby on the side of the road will be found and punished. May God show no mercy on you, as you did not for this poor baby!!
