Lawrence (no middle initial) Montgomery, age 21, Madison.
Mr. Montgomery was arrested for Homicide by Intoxicated Use of Vehicle, and Operating After Revocation.
Richie R. Christie, age 21, Waukesha *Deceased
Female, age 20, DeForest/Madison
The MPD arrested the driver of the Chevrolet Impala on a tentative charge of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.
The Dane County Medical Examiner identified Richie R. Christie, age 21, Waukesha, WI, as a passenger who died from injuries related to the one-car crash.
Mr. Christie was located in the rear of the car.
A front-seat passenger, a 20-year old woman, who has listed both Madison and DeForest addresses in the past, remains hospitalized with serious head injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the MPD.

A 21-year-old man died in a crash early Saturday morning in Madison.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is confirming the death of:
Richie R. CHRISTIE
Mr. Christie was an unrestrained passenger involved in a single motor vehicle crash that occurred on 10-13-12 at or about 5:30AM. The crash was on Odana Road near Tokay Boulevard. Mr. Christie was transported to a Madison Hospital from the scene of the crash and survived for a short time.
A forensic autopsy will be completed today (10-15-12)at the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
This case remains under investigation by the City of Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Madison Police initially released this information on the crash:
On 10/13/12 at approximately 5:26am, Madison Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries.
It was determined that a vehicle traveling westbound on Odana Rd went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Two passengers in the vehicle were transported to the hospital with significant injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was also taken to the hospital and is being processed for possible OMVWI. Investigation is still ongoing.
