"You don't go to bed at night thinking that you're going to wake up at 2 o'clock in the morning and have to put your family and your dogs in a car and drive away from your home," says Spring Green resident, Kim Feiner.

But that's exactly what she and her family were forced to do after flood waters began pouring into the basement of their Spring Green home. 3 weeks later, their house is still completely surrounded by water, water that has their basement full to the top stairs.

"Even though it looks like this and you have the mold growing and you have the issues that are happening, this is still our home that we built as a family."

It's an emotional experience for Kim who for the first time has returned home to see the damage. The reality of their situation was just too much.

"This was our home and it's gone! We're just looking for someone to help us."

Kim and her husband Rick are frustrated that the water in their neighborhood still hasn't even been pumped out. Together with their neighbors, they met to figure out how to move on.

"We don't know which direction we can go," says Kim's husband, Rick Feiner. "We don't know what FEMA is going to do for us. We don't know what the county will do for us. We are basically just sitting idle."

The Feiners have been able to rescue much of their belongings from the home. But now with their 16 year old son they must quickly figure out what to do next hoping FEMA will come to their aide before it's too late.

"We're homeless," says Kim. "We do have someplace to stay for a few months but after that we don't know what we are going to do."

What does it take to get the water out of Spring Green? The National Guard with some heavy duty pumps and tanker trucks? Those poor people have been washed out of their homes and put their lives on hold waiting for someone to do something. My question is who is the someone FEMA then why can't they survey the damage and aware the poeple the money to get on with their lives. I think 3 weeks is way pass do. Please someone tell me who has the authority to ask and get help down to Spring Green. I have been to Spring Green and seen the damage personally. I go home and thank God we are not them.

We live on a hill of sand and gravel....lesson learned. We do not live in a river valley....Hmmmm.....Kramer Clan in Plain has all kinds of pumps, and has made millions off the State on Building, road, and bridge projects. Get them to lend you a hand for free.

People just don't get it... My house is located in the Prairie sub division and I had 4 feet of sewage and water in my house. EVERYTHING I owned is ruined. My refigerator, couches and washing machine were floating in my house. I still have 2 feet of water in my house.

Spring Green still looks like hell. I really feel for the residents of the village. The town is starting to smell like the ocean at low tide.

At least they're allowed back in to save what they can. Reedsburg took possession and condemned some residents' homes in Reedsburg. The City has not paid for the property they took possession of and residents haven't been allowed in to salvage or clean any of their property.
